Emergency Closure and Continuity of Learning
Students are encouraged to continue checking their school email for updates and instructions for obtaining and using online resources for future learning. Parents can expect to be cc'd on an email each week to keep you updated on our class progress.  Students can anticipate more communication. Beginning April 14 we will be utilizing Canvas which is a new learning management system Dr. Walts referenced.  Each student is already enrolled.  Access is within your Office 365 account.  Once logged into Office 365 or Outlook; click on the "waffle" which is circled at the top.  This is the app launcher.  If you do not see Canvas already listed; simply click  "All Apps" to locate it.  Once in the Canvas program students will find information readily available for them which is laid out by date with accompanying resources.  PLEASE send me an email if you need help!  I look forward to helping my students and my parents.

Economics & Personal Finance class files to date may be found on our Edmodo Class page. Review exercises posted in Khan Academy via our Clever App are not for a grade but to review the Basic Economic and Macroeconomic concepts we have discussed this year. Zoom will be utilized for discussions.

AP Economics class files (notes, cover sheet, support videos, practice sheets) may be found on the OneDrive Group for each class.   These files have been copied and posted within Canvas. The review exercises posted in Khan Academy (via the Clever app) and AP Classroom are NOT required for a grade but are rather to review concepts we covered in class and to prepare for the AP Exams which will only be the FRQ portion and will be taken at home. Zoom will be utilized for online discussions and practice problems.  If a student is unable to attend a live meeting; all notes and practice problems are posted in advance on both the OneDrive and within Canvas.   A detailed schedule and calendar is available in Canvas.  I truly hope this will help streamline all future work.  The helpful links below will open in a separate window.

Classroom Materials

Please come prepared to class with the appropriate basic materials, 3-ring binder or folder with paper, writing utensil, colored pencils (for graphing) and a positive attitude.

I recommend that each student find a system that works for them individually to organize notes, projects, reviews, tests, etc.  Dividers are especially helpful but not required.  Specific supply needs by course will be published in the course syllabus.

Office Hours

I am available during flex blocks or after school in room 1100 Monday, Wednesday and Thursday for any student in need of my help.

Please contact me in advance if you plan to stay so I know to return to the classroom after school and also to insure I am not away for a scheduled meeting or training.

Access to Classroom Resources and Accounts:

AP Economics students will find an enormous amount of resources in our Classroom OneDrive.
Economics and Personal Finance students will regularly use Edmodo in the classroom to submit assignments.
