AP Computer Science A studies object-oriented programming methodology with an emphasis on problem solving and algorithm development.  It is meant to be the equivalent of a first-semester course in computer science.  It also includes the study of data structures and abstraction.  As a college level course, students will be required to take the AP Computer Science exam.  Students may potentially receive college credit for AP Exams depending upon the college or university they plan to attend and the exam score they earn.  Students Earn a Full 1.0 weight for a C or Better in this course
