Battlefield Best Buddies Club fosters one-to-one friendships between high school students with and without disabilities. In this time of heightened social and emotional development that can be difficult even for teenagers without disabilities, the Best Buddies High Schools program helps break through social barriers at an important time in a young person’s life.
Educates and empowers people to be leaders, public speakers and advocates.
Through participation in this awesome after school club, everyone forms meaningful connections with their peers, gain self-confidence and self-esteem, and share interests, experiences and activities that many other individuals enjoy!!

The Best Buddies Club meets designated Wednesdays each month and some flex periods from September- May.
BEST stands for Bobcats Evaluating and Servicing Technology. We are part of the statewide VA STAR program to refurbish and donate used laptops.

Students in the Creative Writing & Literary Magazine Club participate in creating, procuring, and editing student created literature. Additionally, students in the club will work over the course of the year to produce the school's annual Literary Magazine for competition in the spring.

Battlefield Purple Reign Dance Team is a dedicated and talented group of student-athletes who proudly represent Battlefield High School. Throughout the season, the team performs at football and basketball games, is involved in the school community through community service and other club involvement and collaboration, and performs at our pep rallies and other school-wide events. In addition to their school spirit, the team trains extensively to compete at both local and pre-professional dance competitions. Purple Reign is committed to excellence, teamwork, and developing strong, confident leaders through dance.

Battlefield's debate team is an intellectually stimulating academic club where students engage in discussions and learn to effectively articulate their viewpoints on a wide range of topics. Members prepare for monthly competitions at various levels against local and regional schools.
Meetings are held every other Tuesday in rm 2111.
DECA is a student organization dedicated to preparing students for careers in business, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship. DECA provides students the opportunity to gain leadership skills, give back to the community, and participate in social events.

Educators Rising is a student organization for those interested in exploring careers in education. Members have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, gain hands-on experience, and learn what it takes to become a future educator. Through meetings, workshops, and school/community involvement, students explore topics such as teaching strategies, child development, and educational leadership.
Educators Rising provides opportunities to participate in competitions, collaborate with peers who share an interest in education, and build a strong foundation for college and career pathways in teaching. This club is ideal for students who are passionate about making a positive impact and shaping the future through education.

Our Environmental Club is dedicated to educating both its members and the wider student body on real-world environmental topics such as habitat restoration, sustainability, and climate change. Through engaging discussions, projects, and activities, the club helps students better understand the challenges facing our planet and how they can make a difference. Beyond the classroom, members actively participate in the community by supporting STEM events at feeder schools, organizing recycling drives, and taking part in Earth Day initiatives. Together, we strive to inspire environmental awareness and meaningful action both in school and beyond.
Third Thursday of the month
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) prepares students for careers in business through leadership and career development programs. FBLA offers a variety of events, including leadership conferences, region and state-based competitions, and events that test students' business knowledge and skills. Students can also participate in educational programs and develop skills in areas such as public speaking, marketing, job interviewing, accounting, information systems, and entrepreneurship.
FBLA will meet once a month. Regional competitions will take place in February.
HOSA, or Future Health Professions, is a global student-led club with a mission of empowering students to explore healthcare careers and acquire leadership skills through education, collaboration and experience.
Meetings are held once per month and communication is sent through email. Additional activity opportunities may be offered throughout the school year.
Club Description: The Latin Club is open to current and former Latin students, and it is designed to explore additional topics of interest in the form of presentations, games, and other activities. Common topics of interest include Roman history, mythology, culture, daily life, festivals, holidays, as well as modern daily mottoes, abbreviations, derivatives and other phrases and vocabulary used today.

The Marching Bobcats perform music of all styles and genres, from classical to pop, and even original music written specially for them. The band performs with precision and passion at all home football games as well as numerous competitions and parades throughout the region every year.

In Battlefield's Mock Trial team, students have the opportunity to gain legal experience and knowledge by acting as lawyers and witnesses for various mock cases. Students will also go to real courthouses each year for competitions and be coached and judged by practicing attorneys.

Model UN is a simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of “delegates” from different countries and solve real world issues with the opinions of their country. Delegates prepare for and attend conferences in the Northern Virginia area – on average, one Friday evening and Saturday per month – where they compete against delegates from other schools. National Art Honor Society is a prestigious high school program that recognizes outstanding visual arts students, fostering creativity, service, and character, while offering opportunities for college preparation, peer recognition, and exclusive scholarships.

The National English Honor Society (NEHS) is an academic organization that recognizes high-achieving students in English language arts. NEHS promotes excellence in reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking while encouraging members to engage in service, leadership, and a lifelong appreciation of literature and communication. Through activities such as tutoring, community service, and literary events, members contribute to both the school and the wider community while developing strong communication skills.

The National French Honor Society (SHF) is a French Society where students need to apply for admission. It is based on overall grade point average and French grade point average, a recommendation from a French teacher and a written essay.
We meet twice per month. Our meetings are fun and culture driven. Students are required to attend a certain number of meetings to receive three cords (blue, white and red- the colors of the French flag) at the time of graduation.

The National History Honor Society (NHHS) is a secondary school organization dedicated to fostering a passion for history, research, and civic leadership. Chapters operate locally while often affiliating with the national non-profit, empowering students to engage in historical discussions, community service, and school programs.

The Spanish Honor Society is an academic organization that recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in the study of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. Students enrolled in advanced Spanish classes are invited to join the society to honor their dedication and achievements. Members participate in a variety of activities that promote cultural awareness and community service, such as tutoring younger students, celebrating Hispanic traditions, organizing cultural events, and participating in service projects. Through these activities, students deepen their understanding of the Spanish-speaking world while developing leadership skills and a commitment to service.

Members of the BHS Beat work on various projects to highlight student achievements and events that matter to Battlefield students. Students will have opportunities to learn and practice conducting interviews, writing basic Journalism style news articles, creating basic news video clips, and producing various digital media for students.

Comet Robotics is Battlefield High School's First Robotics Competition (FRC) Team. Students build a robot to compete in the season's game January-March!
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics is a competitive program where middle and high school students design, build, and program robots to complete specific game challenges each season. Teams work collaboratively to apply engineering, coding, and problem-solving skills while documenting their design process and promoting STEM in their communities. Students benefit from hands-on experience with real-world technologies, helping them build technical skills in areas like programming, mechanics, and design. Participation also develops important life skills such as teamwork, communication, time management, and perseverance. Overall, FTC prepares students for future academic and career pathways in STEM while building confidence and creativity.
At Battlefield, the after-school FTC robotics team is limited to 15 members, and open positions for the team are usually announced in April via a Canvas announcement. Students may also participate in FTC robotics through the elective course of Engineering Explorations.

Welcome to Battlefield Archery Club! Whether you want to hit your first bullseye or train for competition, this club is for you. We focus on building discipline, mental focus, and physical strength in a safe environment.
Duration - October - May.
Location - Enclosed cafeteria.
No medical physical or concussion education is required to participate in archery club.
Students participating in archery club may have an opportunity to participate in tournaments. Battlefield are 2X State and 2X National Champions in archery.

Black Student Union (BSU) is a student-led organization dedicated to celebrating Black culture, history, and identity while fostering unity, leadership, and advocacy within the school community. The BSU provides a supportive space for students of all backgrounds to engage in meaningful dialogue, promote cultural awareness, and work toward equity and inclusion through events, education, and community service.
Meeting are held once a month (dates to be determined) in the Room 1125.
The purpose of this club is to collect clothing for children in need. We will collect new and gently used clothing, sort and pack the Boxes of Basics for students and other children, and then deliver the boxes to a distribution center.
It is anticipated that we will meet approximately 5 times throughout the school year.
Chess is a game that requires much strategy. The Chess Club focuses on giving knowledge about chess, how to play the game, and more! If you aren't one of the 70% of people around the world that know how to play chess, then this may be the club for you! Tournaments may also be available for more advanced players.

International Club first began in 2004 under the sponsorship of a former World History teacher intent on expanding students’ understanding of global relations and politics. Today, we are much more than just a club; we are in fact a family, intent on educating, recognizing, and celebrating the importance of all cultures represented at Battlefield and the Bobcat community.
The liaisons and club members work together to promote the need for leadership, acceptance, and tolerance through monthly multi-cultural lessons and presentations, community outreach and fundraising events and the school’s annual International Night, which showcases the talents of our Battlefield students through fashion, music, art, dance and food from around the world.
We are proud to collaborate with other BHS clubs and organizations who share our vision for an inclusive, open-minded school. We have formed an executive board of student leaders and liaisons who will oversee the club’s goals and plans for the upcoming school year. Specific club meeting dates will be announced soon! We are very excited to welcome new members!

Morgan’s Message is a club that strives to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health within the student-athlete community and equalize the treatment of physical and mental health in athletics. The Women Empowerment Club is a volunteer and community-based organization open to all students of BFHS. We meet the first Thursday of each month to discuss volunteer and donation opportunities for local shelters and food pantries. We also host interesting activities and informative guests throughout the year. Our mission is to bring more awareness to the roles and contributions of women in America and provide support to the community in the building and in Prince William.

Scholastic Bowl is a competitive academic team. We field teams that compete against other schools in head-to-head matches involving answering questions in a variety of areas. Some of these areas include science, mathematics, literature, art, history, geography, government, mythology, etc. This activity is considered a sport and is governed by the VHSL.
