FAQs
What supplies does my student need?
Beyond the traditional school supplies of a pen, pencil, paper, and possibly a highlighter, all students at Battlefield High School will be receiving a PWCS device with cloud storage. Subjects such as art and music might require additional supplies specific to each course. Please hold off on purchasing these until the student meets with their teachers.
HPE teachers will help students to order their HPE gear during the first 3 weeks of school. This gear includes shorts, shirts, sweatshirts, all of varying materials. While uniforms are not required, students do need to have clothes that enable them to participate in physical activity.
PWCS iPads will be given to students on the first day of school. It is recommended, but not required, that students purchase a stylus to use with their iPad. This can be a non-Apple brand, available from vendors such as Amazon.com.
My student cannot access their StudentVUE or I cannot access my ParentVUE – help!
Be sure to download the updated ParentVUE and EZArrival bus applications for the start of the 2026-27 school year. Your student’s password may need to be updated. Directions on how to do so can be found at the PWCS password reset site.
How does my student get involved with sports and clubs?
Check out the Battlefield Student Activities Page! We also encourage students and families to ask questions at the extracurricular fair at the New Student Orientation and Back to School Night.
How can I best support my student?
Parents/guardians are critical members of the BFHS community. Your support of your student and our school community is essential to all our success. We encourage you to participate in the PTSO, Athletic Boosters, and other parent organizations.
ParentVUE is a great way to monitor student grades, report attendance, check graduation requirements, view testing history, and check immunization compliance. If you don’t have a Parent VUE account, you can find more information on the ParentVUE webpage.
I have a senior – help!
Be on the lookout for information on caps and gowns, senior events, and graduation. We will have a graduation ceremony date later in the school year, and we will announce the date as soon as we can.
Information on using Naviance, Common Application matching, and transcript requests can be found on the BFHS Counseling page. Students can access their most up-to-date transcript in StudentVUE. Senior transcripts that include 2026-27 classes (works in progress), will not be ready until early to mid-September. Once they are ready, we can send them to colleges. Learn more about the transcript process in PWCS on the Student Transcript Requests page.
Senior Portraits are done through Victor O'Neill Studios. Please follow the link below to choose your session type and appointment time:

As a friendly reminder, appointments are needed for Senior Portraits. There are multiple sessions that run from June – October. Session dates will be published via School Status, the school’s website, and social media for at least 2-3 weeks from the picture date.
If you have any questions, please email our Senior Portraits Team: [email protected]. Please include your Senior’s First and Last Name and “Battlefield Class of 2027” when emailing, for faster assistance.
How does my student receive free and reduced lunch?
Families who qualify for free and reduced-price meals need to apply each school year. Please visit the Free and Reduced-Price Meals link to apply for the 2026-27 school year.
