Work Permits
Work
Permits
Per
the
Virginia
Department
of
Labor
and
Industry,
14-
and
15-year-old
students
are
required
to
have
a
work
permit
prior
to
their
first
day
of
employment.
The
application
for
a
work
permit
requires
submission
of
two
documents;
a
Permission
for
Employment
form
(to
be
completed
by
parent/guardian)
and
an
Employer
Intent
to
Employ
form
(to
be
completed
by
the
employer)
to
the
Labor
and
Employment
Law
Division.
