Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Parents: Student Drop-Off

Please see maps below

  • As you drive down Graduation Dr., stay to the left as the road divides immediately before the BHS entrance.
  • As you turn left towards the entrance to BHS, the two left-hand turn lanes divide into three separate lanes – two lanes turn left (the left and center lanes), one lane (the right) turns right to the back of the school.
  • Remain in the center lane and turn left into BHS (See below map marked “ENTRANCE”).
  • As you approach the first intersection, please note the YIELD TO BUSES sign. If there is a bus waiting at the intersection, please stop and allow the bus to proceed (the bus has its own exit lane and will not block your transit to drop your student).
  • Turn right after the bus intersection and you will see the main BHS entrance directly in front of you.
  • Please do not stop yet to drop your student.
  • Please proceed forward another 500’ until you see the “STUDENT DROP OFF HERE” sign or there is a car stopped on the curb in front of you.
  • If there is a car stopped on the curb in front of you but there is open curb space beyond, please safely pass the stopped car and proceed as far as possible toward the “STUDENT DROP OFF HERE” sign.
  • Once you have dropped your student, even if the car in front of you is still stopped, you may proceed toward the exit in the left-hand lane.
  • Once you turn left into the Staff Parking Lot, please stay to your right as traffic becomes two-way again.
  • Drive up the parking row and turn left at the BHS stadium.
  • Proceed straight to the exit and turn right out of the parking lot.
  • Turn right at the stop sign onto Graduation Dr. towards VA-15.

Mr. Buzzi, our School Safety and Security Officer, completes a drive-through of the morning student drop-off traffic pattern for parents and guardians who may drive their student to school.

  • Parents who normally pick their students up from BHS will utilize the South Parking Lot to wait for dismissal.
  • This is the same parking lot as last year, but the waiting area has been moved toward the west-end of the parking lot. Please see the below map.
